Obgob Steam Playtest Released!
OBGOB'S PLAYTEST IS NOW RELEASED!
TLDR: The playtest is released on steam, you can test it out for free! The goal of this playtest is a demo of the demo essentially.
Wow! We really got this far. I think I use these posts to more so talk about how I feel in moments of time. A game devs journal? something of that sort.
I really didn't expect to get here, I was gonna quit this project around 7 months ago due to a whole load of personal problems but I'm happy I continued and met my goal (having a game on steam). I've really done so much more than I thought I possibly could and I'm proud of myself. I've been working on this game independently for around 1 year 3 months now, I've implemented a save system, unlockables, and changed the whole look of the game. Go me!
I've decided a playtest would be a good idea as a way to gauge feedback on the game without committing to a demo. Making a demo is incredibly important especially since my game is a strategy game so I wanted to make it as good as possible, steam playtest is my way of workshopping it.
